Seoul, Korea, 26 April 2007 - SK Telecom (CEO Shin Bae Kim, www.sktelecom.com) announced the offering of an upgraded  ‘T INTERACTIVE’ service that enables users to use mobile phone functions and connect to the wireless Internet at the same time through an idle cellular screen. The ‘T INTERACTIVE’ service was first introduced in December 2006, offering “News”, “Weather Forecasting” and “Direct Access” functions. Additional content such as “Magazine” was added to the upgraded ‘T INTERACTIVE’ service starting on April 26^th.

The service offers users such functions as news, weather forecasting, and direct access, via an idle screen twice a day. The direct access function enables users to directly access the wireless Internet service by pressing a contraction key on the idle screen, and on the mobile phone’s menu such as ‘News’ and ‘Weather Forecasting’. In addition, it allows users to search wireless Internet information such as photos, downloaded bell sounds and telephone directory stored in a mobile phone. This service offers integrated search functions that allows for accessing wireless Internet content as well as data stored in a mobile phone, at the same time.

SK Telecom plans to introduce about fifty types of premium wired and wireless combined services such as stock trading, Melon, Cizle, Cartoons, movie ticket purchasing and music will be released during this year. Through the “Magazine” function that was newly added, users can receive 5 ~ 10 news abstracts without accessing the wireless Internet service. The “Magazine” function consists of Melon Magazine that offers music-related information, Cizle Magazine that provides movie-related information, UCC Magazine and Shopping Magazine.

The information use fee and data call rates for the ‘T INTERACTIVE’ service are available free of charge. In the case of using the “Magazine” function, only subscribers to a data flat rate plan (3 types, Data Safety Flat Rate, Data Safe Flat Rate, ting and Data Free Rate Plan) are allowed to use information and content updates free of charge.

Currently a total of 43 handset models offer the ‘T INTERACTIVE’ service, and the service-enabled handset lines will be continuously extended. To use the service, users should access **133 + NATE in order to download the T INTERACTIVE function or install the function on the mobile phone through the ‘T INTERACTIVE’ homepage (www.tinteractive.co.kr), or the T-World homepage (www.tworld.co.kr).
