SK Telecom designed its exhibition booths around the concept of the ’2006 World Cup Soccer Games’, which fill visitors with feverish excitement about the upcoming World Cup Games.
the company plans to introduce its handset-based HSDPA service by demonstrating a wide range of HSDPA services.
State-of-the-art technologies such as satellite DMB, digital home and telematics, will also be demonstrated.
SK Telecom announces its participation in ’Expo Com Wireless KOREA 2006’, which will take place at the COEX Exhibition Center (Samsung-dong, Seoul) from the 10th through the 13th of May. In the exhibition, the company will showcase future generation advanced mobile communications technologies, and introduce its global operations, thus furthering its corporate image as a world-acclaimed telecom operator.
’Expo Com Wireless KOREA 2006’ takes place in the first floor Pacific Hall of the COEX Exhibition Center under the sponsorship of the Ministry of Information and Communication. It is Korea’s largest information communications exhibition. About 50 telecom companies around the globe will participate in the exhibition. These include Samsung Electronics, LG Electronics and KT. The year 2006 is SK Telecom’s 10th participation in the exhibition since beginning to participate in 1997.
Notably, SK Telecom designed its exhibition booths around the concept of the ’2006 World Cup Soccer Games’, which fill visitors with feverish excitement about the upcoming World Cup Games. In addition, wide exploratorium spaces will be available in order to allow visitors to experience the company’s state-of-the-art technologies such as high speed data packet access (HSDPA) which will be commercialized soon.
In the exhibition, SK Telecom plans to introduce a handset-based HSDPA service, and demonstrate a wide range of HSDPA application services, e.g. movies, music videos and games. The company will also present its global operations in the US (The Mobile Virtual Network Operator Business), China and Vietnam. This will contribute a great deal toward increasing our national image of growing into a major power in the global telecommunications industry.
In addition, SK Telecom plans to demonstrate upgraded digital home services, satellite DMB, Telematics, and entertainment, as well as multimedia services such as MelOn, Sizzle and GXG.
During the exhibition period, various World Cup-related events will be held in order to amuse the visitors to SK Telecom’s booths. These included the World Cup cheering performances, soccer ball shooting games, ’Kokjigerm’ dances and a red ribbon cheering event.
