’Giving Expo 2005’ will take place for three days starting on September 30th. It is designed to promote a more mature contribution culture.

SK Telecom plans to host a program called ’Return Beautiful Face’ which will raise funds for people with facial deformities.
A total of 650 members of an SK Telecom customer volunteer group called ’Sunny’ will participate in the Expo as volunteer workers.
SK Telecom announced that the company, along with 650 customer members of the volunteer group called ’Sunny’, will participate in ’Giving Expo 2005’ which will take place on University Street in Seoul from September 30th through October 2nd.
’Giving Expo 2005’ is hosted by The Beautiful Foundation, UNICEF and YMCA, and sponsored by the Ministry of Health and Welfare, as well as the Community Chest of Korea. It is designed to promote a more mature contribution culture, and showcase the social contribution activities conducted by the private sector, as well as nonprofit organizations. This event was first launched in 2003, so this year marks its second anniversary.
In the Expo, SK Telecom will build a separate booth in order to better demonstrate its community relations activities, as well as introduce its mobile contribution programs, e.g. ’Beautiful Call’, and ’1004 Sharing Love’. The company will also offer a promotional event in which instant caricatures will be drawn of the first fifty booth visitors each day, during the Expo.
In addition, SK Telecom plans to host an event called ’Return Beautiful Face’ to raise funds for people with facial deformities. To this end, the company will donate matching funds amounting to KRW 500 for each customer who participates in this event. SK Telecom will also put advertising pieces into sales, and develop photos taken by mobile phone. The profits from these events will be donated to fund free surgeries for people with facial deformities. Furthermore, a total of 650 customer volunteer group members will participate in the Expo.
