SK Telecom’s Annual Report Receives Three Prizes in the ARC Awards held in the U.S.

This is the first time a Korean company’s annual report has received three prizes at the same time.
’ARC Awards’ are globally recognized as ’Oscars Awards’ in the field of enterprise annual report evaluation.
SK Telecom announced on July 28th that its 2004 Annual Report has won a total of three prizes in two areas of the ’2005 Annual Report Competition Awards’. These are the world’s most prestigious awards in evaluating private enterprise annual reports.
SK Telecom’s Annual Report won one Gold Prize and one Silver Prize in the category of cover and internal design. In addition, one Silver Prize was given in the field of ’Communication Service’. This is the first time a Korean company’s annual report has received three prizes for one annual report.
2005 is the 19th year for the ’ARC Awards’ which constitute the world’s most prestigious awards in evaluating enterprise annual reports. Approximately 1,800 annual reports of different enterprises around the globe are submitted to the competition each year. In terms of tradition and prestige, ’ARC Awards’ are globally recognized as the ’Oscars Awards’ in the field of enterprise annual report evaluation.
The ARC Awards are well known for their fair and in-depth evaluation of worldwide enterprise annual reports. The submitted annual reports are reviewed and evaluated by the ARC Screening Committee that consists of 175 prominent worldwide experts in different fields from the U.S., England, Canada, etc. The awards are hosted by MerComm of the U.S., a company that specializes in evaluating enterprise annual reports.
A ceremony for the ’ARC Awards’ will take place in New York’s Ritz Carlton Hotel this coming September.
