SK Telecom will participate in the ’2005 Smart Home and Home Network Show’ exhibition which will take place at the Korea International Exhibition Center (KINTEX) in Goyang Kyunggi from the 2nd through the 5th of June. In the exhibition, the company will showcase a variety of ubiquitous and convergent services that include the ’Intelligent Home Network Service’, one of SK Telecom’s future growth drivers
The ’2005 Smart Home and Home Network Show’ exhibition is hosted by the Ministry of Information and Communications, and the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Energy. It is sponsored by a total of 13 public institutions, including the National Computerization Agency. The exhibition is designed to explore for and foster export markets, as well as promote commercial transactions in digital information devices and home security devices, which are Korea’s strategic industries. To this end, a total of 71 companies, including SK Telecom, will participate in the exhibition.
In the exhibition, SK Telecom will present a wide range of convenient Mobile Digital Home services. These include such things as digital picture frames, gas valve controlling, home monitoring, door lock controlling, pet care, intruder monitoring, and mode controlling. In particular, the digital picture frame service is designed to transmit photos taken by a mobile phone, to the customers’ home, anytime and anywhere. Thus it lets customers enjoy the photos in their home.
A ceremony for the awarding of the prize in Intelligent Home Network Technology Innovation to SK Telecom from the Minister of Information and Communications, will take place on the 2nd of June, right after the opening ceremony of the exhibition.
The Intelligent Home Network Technology Innovation awards were newly established this year under the sponsorship of the Ministry of Information and Communications, and the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Energy. The purpose of these awards is to find promising services and develop them as future growth engines in the intelligent home network arena.
