SK Telecom’s ’MoMu’, Online Mobile Communications Museum, Wins Prizes in Two Fields of ’Webby Awards’
2005.05.04 Print’MoMu’ won final prizes in the categories of ’Best Use of Animation or Moving Images’ and ’Telecommunications’.
The ceremony for the Webby Awards will be held on June 6th. Al Gore, former vice-president of the U.S., will participate in this ceremony.
SK Telecom announced on May 4th that its online mobile communications museum called ’MoMu(Mobile Museum)’ (www.momu.co.kr) has won three prizes in two areas of the 9th ’Webby Awards’.
The Webby Awards sponsored by the ’International Digital and Science Academy’ revealed prize winners in a total of 63 different categories on May 3, 2005. ’MoMu’ won both the main Webby Award and Netizen Award in the category of ’Best Use of Animation or Moving Images’, and the Netizen Award in the field of ’Telecommunications’.
The Webby Awards are divided into two awards in 63 categories. One is the main Webby Award, and the other is the Netizen Award. A total of 14 business entities that included SK Telecom, Google, BBC, and Virgin Radio, received these two awards in one category.
’Dinner Table for 4 Persons (released film in 2003)’ won a main Webby Award in the category of ’Movies & Film’. This was the other Korean site winner besides SK Telecom’s ’MoMu’.
