lets customers carry out multi-tasks while listening to music via their cellular phone
facilitates customer convenience by offering a wide range of optimized functions for using the music content
On November 24th, SK Telecom announced that the company has developed a ’Music Player’ solution for cellular phones. It is being introduced through Motorola’s MS-350 handset. ’Music Player’ lets customers enjoy wireless Internet NATE service while listening to music through their cellular phone. This is a first in Korea. In addition, the service lets customers carry out multi-tasks such as sending and receiving text messages, while listening to music via their cellular phone.
The ’Music Player’ service also furnishes a wide range of optimized functions for using the music content. These include such functions as / Storage and Reproduction of the Latest Music Lists / Reproducing Music Lists / Equalizer Settings / Reiteration of All Processes. With this mechanism, customers can conveniently utilize their cellular phone as a music reproduction system that is similar to an MP3 player.
Seung Yoon Ahn, vice-president and head of SK Telecom’s Portal Business Division commented, "The development of the ’Music Player’ solution facilitates customer convenience in listening to music through their cellular phone. This solution lets them use wireless Internet ’NATE’ or a text message service, while enjoying music. They will also be able to use ’JUNE’ or ’NATE-On’ service at the same time".
Due to SK Telecom being able to offer a music-on-demand (MOD) service through Motorola’s MS-350, CDMA 2000 1x terminal, more customers are allowed to enjoy high-quality music content. Previously the MOD service was available only through June service-enabled terminals.
