The BCP service is a new concept in customized corporate mobile services that lets corporate clients rapidly and conveniently use mobile communications services at an affordable cost. Corporate clients can create their current work systems to the more convenient mobile way, by using this service.
The BCP service offers a common platform that allows corporate clients to integrate a wide spectrum of their work processes, and to conduct their work through cellular phones, PDAs, and Smart Phones. This service is much more economical than conventional work process solutions, and lets clients apply the mobile system to their work, in a rapid and convenient manner.
Kyu Gwan Lim, vice-president and head of SK Telecom’s Business Solution Division stated, "e-Business, or m-Business, represents the current trend in corporate work processes. Recently the demand for mobile work processes has been increasing due to the improvement of mobile terminal performance, and the advancements in mobile communications networks. Under this ubiquitous environment, we expect the BCP service will play a vital role in helping varied companies, including small and medium-sized companies, to improve their customer services, cut business operation costs, attain superiority over their competitors, and make prompt management decisions".
In order to facilitate BCP service use by corporate clients, SK Telecom operates a BCP Consultation Center (1566-6011) that furnishes One-Stop services, from customer inquiries, through terminal supply and service application, to corporate clients’ work analysis. In addition, the company will offer complete and systematic customer services such as changing the clients’ work system, by the BCP system operation crew.
Jong Sun Kang, the head of customer service for the Carrier Air Conditioner Company commented, "Using the BCP service, we built a mobile service system for our work processes in air-conditioner installation and after-sales service in less than two months, at the lowest possible cost. This service allowed our engineers to receive their work instructions according to their current locations on a real-time basis, and they could verify customer and product information, as well as parts in stock, without the necessity of carrying documents. Furthermore, we could inform our customers of their air-conditioner repair scheduling immediately. This resulted in greatly upgrading our customer services, and increasing our work efficiency".
To use the BCP service, corporate clients subscribe to a value-added cellular service with a monthly flat rate of 3,000 won for each line, and an initial activation fee is not required. The service can be conducted through every cellular phone that supports the WAP and PDA adopted by SK Telecom. Corporate clients can make inquiries about the service, or subscribe to the service, through the BCP Consultation Center (1566-6011) or BCP homepage (www.sktbcp.com).
