Donates 150 million Korean won to World Vision to conduct Bathing Services for Physically Challenged People
Plans to donate another 150 million won to furnish the service in five regions (Busan, Gampo, Jungsun, Ulsan, and Kwangju) nationwide, in 2004.

In 2003, SK Telecom supported the provision of this service to 1,526 physically challenged people in four regions (Busan, Gampo, Jungsun, and Ulsan). In 2004, the company plans to donate another 150 million won to furnish the service in five regions (Busan, Gampo, Jungsun, Ulsan, and Kwangju) nationwide.
The launching ceremony for the ’Physically Challenged People Bathing Service’ was held in the SK Telecom Head Office on April 29th, at 10 am. At the ceremony, SK Telecom demonstrated the methodology of the ’Physically Challenged People Bathing Service’, and donated mobile bathing vehicles and funds, to cover yearly service operation costs. The participants in the ceremony were: Jong Sam Park, chairman of World Vision, Shin Bae Kim, president of SK Telecom, and Sue Kyung Youn, secretary general of the Community Chest of Korea.
SK Telecom has sponsored the ’Physically Challenged People Bathing Service’ by depositing a specific amount of funds in the Community Chest of Korea for use by World Vision. This service has been offered since 2003. The service providers visit physically challenged people’s homes, and offer bathing and health check-up services. Beneficiaries of the service are people who have great difficulty in moving on their own. This includes senior people who suffer from senile infirmities, people disabled by poliomyelitis, and patients with cerebral palsy, among others.
