SK Telecom sets aside as its donation, the same amount as the customers’ donation.
The donated funds will be used for helping children who are suffering from a serious illness, or physical impediment.

On the 3rd of November, Moon Soo Pyo, president of SK Telecom, and Won Sun Park, lawyer of The Beautiful Foundation, signed an agreement for the SK Telecom contribution to The Beautiful Foundation (www.beautifulfund.org). These funds will be raised through the 011/017 ’Beautiful Call Program.
SK Telecom’s ’Beautiful Call’ program is a method of raising funds from 011 and 017 customers who donate 100 won by accessing ARS through 011 or 017 cellular phones right after receiving lucky calls such as from a promotion, prize winning, success in an examination, etc. They can also encourage the good news announcers’ participation by letting them know about the donation through the short message service. This program has been taking place since the 10th of October.
Whenever a 011/017 customer donates funds through the ’Beautiful Call’ program, SK Telecom donates the same amount as the customer’s donation (Matching Funds) to ’The Beautiful Foundation’. A detailed donation history and its uses are disclosed on the foundation’s homepage. A receipt will be offered to the customer for tax saving purposes.
The ’Beautiful Call’ program aims to share Happiness through encouraging customers and companies to help their disadvantaged neighbors. This program is a part of a series of ’SPEED 011 Rainbow’ programs that accelerate the trend toward encouraging the customers’ participation in charitable giving.
