Visit SK Telecom PR Center in Boondang City.
Received a demonstration of space-age mobile communication services such as 3rd generation multimedia services and mobile commerce.
On the 4th of September, Jung Nam Cho, vice-chairman of SK Telecom, welcomed the Minister of Information Industry Wang Xudong, and his delegation, to the SK Telecom PR Center. He showcased the excellence of Korean mobile communication technology by demonstrating such advanced technologies as 3rd generation multimedia services, and mobile commerce.
In addition, they had luncheon together and exchanged opinions about the current status of SK Telecom’s technology development, and its role in the overall Korean telecommunications industry.
The participants in this event were: Jung Nam Cho, vice-chairman of SK Telecom, Young Gil Seo, vice-president of SK Telecom, John Liu, president of SKT China, and the Minister and 10 high-ranking officials of the Chinese Information Industry Ministry.
The Chinese delegation visited Korea in order to participate in the Korea, China, Japan IT Ministerial Conference, which will take place on Jeju Island this September 8th. By coming to visit SK Telecom on the 4th, they will have time to visit Korea’s other major IT companies to learn the current status of the overall Korean telecommunications industry.
