The fever of the foreign press is fueled by `IT Tours for the Foreign Press Reporters for the `Asian Games` sponsored by SK Telecom and KT. Foreign Press Reporters are observing Korean IT technology at the scheduled visiting places.
"The Foreign Press Expressed High Interest in Korea " While the fever gets hotter in 3.7 billion Asian people for the ’2002 Busan Asian Games Festival’, the eager eyes and ears of the entire foreign press community is focused on IT Korea.
The IT Tour of the Foreign Press Reporters for the ’Asian Games’, sponsored by SK Telecom and KT, promotes the excellence of Korean Information Communication Technology to the foreign press reporters who visit Busan. Even though the reservations for the IT Tour were closed early, the popularity of the tour has kept continued applications and requests for openings coming at a rapid pace.
In the IT Tours, which run 5 times from the 3rd to the 9th of this month, there are scheduled one day visits to IT EXPO, promotional booths at BEXCO, KT Busan Submarine Communication Base, WoolJu Seusang Mindoong Maul, appointed as the National Information Village, TTL Zone, and IT facilities in Busan and Kyungnam Province.
Responding to the unexpected rush of IT Tour applications at the MMC (Main Media Center) regardless of the closing of reservations, SK Telecom and KT are giving consideration to prolonging the duration dates for IT Tour events and expanding the number of participants.
