SK Telecom (www.sktelecom.com) and its customers have together given ’Love Rice’ to disadvantaged neighbors.

On the 11th of this month, the company announced the donation of two thousand two hundred package (20kg each) of ’Love Rice’. This donation was funded by SK Telecom and two thousand two hundred of its customers who participated in this ’Call-Plus Event’, held from the 10th of July to the 9th of August. These customers agreed to give their call plus prize value to their unfortunate neighbors.

On the morning of the 11th of September, on the first floor of SK Telecom’s main office, the ’Call-Plus Love Rice Presentation’ was held. Participating were, ,Bang Hyung Lee head of SK Telecom Marketing Division, Seuk San Kim, president of the Korea Welfare Foundation, and Hong Yoen Haung, the representative for the SK Telecom customers.

’Love Rice’, with an equivalent value of 93 million won, donated by SK Telecom and customers’ ’Call-Plus Scores’, will be distributed till the middle of September, to qualified receivers in areas selected by the Korea Welfare Foundation.

’Call-Plus Thank-You Appreciation Event’ was held for 011/017 customers whose accumulated Call-Plus Points were over 10,000 points. They could take a prize based on their points or donate its point value amount.

This Donation of ’Love Rice’ for unfortunate neighbors is the second event that donated ’Love Rice’. It follows the ’Love Rice with Sharing Farmers’ program that funded and distributed 20 thousand rice packages valued at 500 million won, in September, 2001.
