On January 7th, SK Telecom announced the launch of NATE MyPC Service that allows the connection of users? own PC to NATE wired and wireless integrated portal service.
NATE MyPC Service is a true wired and wireless linked service that enables you to use your own PC to search files and manage e-mail anywhere and anytime through your cellular phone or a remote PC just like you are sitting in front of, and using, your own PC.
NATE MyPC Service allows the searching, creating and editing of document files, email, daily schedules, and favorite places, by linking the appointed search engine and outlook program in the PC, to the cellular phone, PDA, and remote PC.
This service allows you through your cellular phone to check e-mails as soon as they arrive, and re-send or attach them to files that are saved in your PC.
When you send email through your cellular phone, you can simply send them without input messages each time through the terminal, but for your convenience you can just choose messages that you have already created and segmented by types in your NATE Homepage (www.nate.com).
The advantages of NATE MyPC service are that high speed Internet users like ADSL, can use this service freely through a circulated IP, and companies that installed fire walls and security related systems like NAT(Network Address Translation)(note 1) can also use this service.
In order to use ’NATE MyPC’ Service, you must first apply for the service at the SK Telecom NATE Homepage, and download the program, then install it your own PC (maximum 2 PCs).
To connect your own PC to the cellular phone, you first connect to NATE and input ’6.email/chatting/meeting-> 8.MyPC. To connect to a remote PC or PDA, input MYNATE->MyPC->MyPC connection at the NATE Homepage.
SK Telecom provides this service free of charge until February, and beginning in March will charge a 1,500 won monthly service fee.
* The effective use of NATE MYPC Service :
On weekend or other occasions when you wouldn’t know when e-mail of a business nature has arrived, you can check, analyze it and reply without returning to the office. In cases where timing and contents of your response are critical, NATE MyPC service can make the difference between success or failure in your business. When you install the simple program of ’Mail Arrival Announcement’ in your PC, Nate MyPC instantly informs you of the arrival of e-mail, the sender, and title through your cellular phone. When you get the arrival email message on your cellular phone, you just press the ’Call’ button to connect to your PC, and you can check the messages, search and modify files, then send the necessary reply to your business party. You can easily conduct your business with great success anytime and anywhere outside your office.

NAT is a system that allows various people to connect on the Internet with one IP address for the organization or company.
