Press Release
Jung Uck Seo, President of SK Telecom, is attending the third Asia-Europe Business Forum to be held in London, England, from April 1 through 3 as one of the Korean delegates to the Telecom-IT Subcommittee.
The Forum will be held simultaneously with the second ASEM summit meeting, which will be held from March 3 and 4, and the five subcommittees ?water, power, telecom, transportation and financial service - will discuss the infrastructure development and the concrete cooperative measures between Asian economies and the European countries to cope with the East Asia’s economic crisis.
More than 250 government officials and industry representatives from 25 ASEM member economies will attend the forum.
This year’s meeting has a particular meaning to Korea because it is the hosting country of the fourth Asia-Europe Business Forum and the third ASEM summit meeting to be held in 2000. Korea intends to take this opportunity to expand the role of the Korean industry in the inter-regional cooperation and create new business opportunities.
