Content: SK Telecom(President: Jung Uck Seo) launches "GSM Roaming Service" March 7th, which offers coverage in around 70 countries in Europe, Asia and Oceania where GSM technology-based services are provided.
The new service expands the list of nations that serves Speed 011 subscribers, allowing Roaming services in 76 more nations not to mention the U.S.A., Japan, Australia and Hong Kong among the already covered nations.
"GSM Roaming Service" enables Speed011 subscribers to use cellular phones in GSM type nations via local cellular phone carriers in service agreement with SK Telecom. To apply for this service phone, fax or visit SK Telecom Kimpo International Airport Office before departure. Customers are provided with terminals usable in overseas, which are to be returned upon arrival. Service fees will be charged to customers’ credit card.
SK Telecom plans to expand the service to cover 100 nations by the year-end.
